Miles Davis collaborated with some funky cats in the 1980s to create some amazing Jazz Funk Fusion. I'm talking about cats like George Duke and Marcus Miller among others. The result was a very unusual Miles Davis album called Tutu. Here's a very cool live version of the title track. The guitarists on the video appear to be Pete Cosey and Reggie Lucas who also performed on Get Up With It.
