Jesse Jones Jr. — the father of ‘Scat-Hop’ and Miami Jazz Hall of Fame inductee – debuted at Arts Garage in April 2011, helping to launch the venue’s extremely successful Jazz Project. He was featured by The Collaborative at Art and Jazz on The Ave. The Miami native is a saxophonist extraordinaire, and continues to be in the forefront of a burgeoning jazz renaissance in South Florida. In 2011, he toured in Russia, Austria, Italy and Germany. Jones’ ability to captivate his audience with the classics and adapt them to his own swinging interpretations is legendary.
